ello and welcome to my personal page, where  hopefully you will learn a little about me. My hopes, interests and aspirations.

Many people  have questioned;  "What is the meaning of life?"  Those of you who are old enough will recall the Monty Python team also asking the same question!  As I recall, I don’t think they found the answer.  Seriously though, I am a philosophical girl at heart.  You are born to this life with nothing and you leave with nothing. . . The most important thing is how you interact with other members of the human race along life's difficult highway. Treat people with love and respect and it should be reciprocated. If it is not, then there is something special that has been lost from their life. Most of all, if you cannot do someone a good turn, do not do them a bad one.

If someone is left with a good feelings about you as an individual, then you have found the meaning of life. . . to be loved by humanity and to be at peace with the world and the people around you.

ne of my particular interests is computing.  As a family, we are all a little 'technically' inclined. I have always been interested in computers from the humble beginning of the first "home computers" in the early 1980's, when I recall the only 'home computer' was the one you built yourself, I speak of the early days just as Mr Jobs, Mr Wozniak & Mr Gates had their visions of the future.   How things have changed since then!

We build our own computers for the extended family, mine is not quite 'state of the art' due to the exorbitant costs involved, but not far off.  We always try to keep on the  cutting edge of technology  to run our flight simulation software which requires a tremendous amount of memory and processor power.

erhaps, if you are old enough to recall the 1960's, you may remember the old black and white t.v. sitcom, "Hancocks Half Hour", in particular one program called "The Radio Ham". Although this program took a farcical view of amateur radio,  I always had a curious fascination when we visited a family friend,  he was able to talk to someone on the other side of the world  without the constraints of wires.  Of course in this day and age with mobile telephones and computers, many would say why bother.   However, in my early 20's with a group of work colleagues at that time, I started studying for the  Radio Amateurs Examination to obtain a transmitting licence and  successfully obtained a Full transmitting licence in 1986.   The interest has been followed  recently  by my younger daughter Eleanor who gained her foundation licence at the age of 15. She  can be heard locally on the V.H.F. and U.H.F.  amateur frequencies during weekdays and sometimes at the weekend.

have always had  deep love of all things Japanese since childhood and hope to visit in the not too distant future. Speaking just a little of the language I would hope to survive for the duration based  in  Kyoto, where I  would try to discover the old Hanamachi district. My mastery of the language is somewhat slower than I anticipated though!

My other interests include writing poetry, when a subject moves me sufficiently. You may find a few samples in "Poetz Corner" and "Poetz inc. well"  elsewhere in this website.

I come from an artistic family and we have a number of oil paintings produced by my father.  Please take time to view examples of my fathers artwork  in the link  'Ra~Creation'.

As an individual? I am currently "single" again at this moment in time. Perhaps one day the right person will come along. In the mean time I am , kept busy by so many other things!

With just a few 'close' friends, I hold down a full time career in a branch of the legal profession.
